The purpose of the TOEFL iBT Test is to evaluate the English Proficiency of people whose native language is not English. TOEFL scores are for purpose of admission by more than 2400 colleges and universities in the United states and Canada. TOEFL iBT is an Computer Adaptive and has four sections, all of which are mandatory.
The TOEFL Score is valid for 2 years from the date of examination.
The TOEFL iBT has four sections, which assess the English language skills of reading, listening, speaking and writing. The test is approximately four hours long with one 10 minute break after listening section.
IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – for people who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication.
GRE is the required entrance test for all MS/MA programs (including Engineering, Science, Arts, Arch.) as well as Doctoral (Ph.D.) Programs in these areas. GRE tests are taken by individuals applying for graduate schools. The General test offered on the computer, is an adaptive test. The test measures verbal, Quantitative and Analytical Writing skills and are not necessarily related to any particular field of study.
Each section in GRE is scored in the range of 200-800 and thus the total score of 1600. The Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) section is scored in the range of 0-6.
